Billet Intermediate Plate

Installing a higher horsepower engine? Partaking in club track days? Love these old trans but worry about its limitations? The 901/911/914 transmission shift pattern is unique... why else would Alois Ruf produce his own transmission for the YellowBird utilizing this shift pattern. Replace your 30+ year old die-cast plate and keep that tranny spinning strong.

Machined from a solid 15lb piece of 6061-T6 aluminum, this is a precision copy of the original die cast Porsche 914 (all) and 911 ('70-'71) transmission intermediate plate.

· Billet 6061-T6 Aluminum

· Reverse CAD engineered and CNC precision machined

· Anodized for corrosion protection

· Steel sleeve inserts for shift detent balls

· 10mm locating pins installed

Billet machined parts start from a solid extruded material, which is much denser than an injected part. The material molecules are tightly compacted like in forging, resulting in a much stronger part.

My plates are anodized for extra corrosion protection, then steel sleeves are inserted to keep the shift detent bearings from wearing away the aluminum.(the stock plates have steel roll pins for the same wear protection).
10mm locating pins are also installed for your convenience.
